Hubspot CRM

When Squid VisitorID detects a new visitor on your website, it instantly enriches your HubSpot CRM with their contact and company details (plus their website activity). If no record exists, Squid creates one automatically. If a match is found, it updates the profile with fresh data keeping your CRM effortlessly accurate and always up to date.

Squid sends/syncs the following information to Hubspot:

Setup Squid's Hubspot Connector

Make sure you have a Hubspot CRM account prior to integrating Squid to Hubspot

In the Squid UI, go to the website you'd like to configure this Hubspot integration for. If you have multiple sites configured within Squid, you will need to setup a Hubspot connection separately for each site.

Open 'My Connections'. You can find this in the top right menu bar under the plug icon.

Connectors

Click on the Hubspot connector

Hubspot Connector

A new window will open and ask for you to choose a Hubspot account. Choose the account to connect Squid to.

Choose Hubspot Account

Choose 'Connect app'.

Connect app

We are working with Hubspot to get certified and approved. This process takes a bit of time.
When you click 'Connect app', Squid will automatically install the Squid Hubspot app within your account. You might be redirected to the Hubspot app integrations section where you can see Squid has been installed. You might need to refresh this browser window for the Squid app to appear.

If you go back to 'connectors' inside your Squid dashboard, you should see that Hubspot has been connected.

Optional Configuration Steps

During the Squid Hubspot install, Squid created unique properties within your Hubspot instance so we can add Squid's unique visitor and web activity to your contact's profile.

- Company Size – Estimated number of employees at the visitor’s company.
- Company Location – The geographic location of the visitor’s company.
- Squid VID Location – The visitor’s detected location based on Squid VisitorID data.
- Squid First Seen Page – The first page the visitor landed on during their initial visit.
- Squid Last Seen Page – The last page the visitor viewed before leaving.
- Squid First Seen Referrer – The original source that referred the visitor to your site.
- Squid Last Seen Referrer – The most recent referrer before their last visit.
- Squid Seen Pages – A list of pages the visitor has viewed on your site.
- Squid Profile View – A direct link to the visitor’s profile within Squid for deeper insights.
- Squid Lead – Indicates whether the visitor has been identified by Squid as a potential lead.

In order to use and see these fields in Hubspot, we recommend adding them to your contact view. To do so, go to your Hubspot account and follow the directions below:

Navigate to CRM > Contacts
On the right-hand side, you should see a button for 'Edit columns'. Click the button.

Type in the 'Search' bar the field you are looking to add.

Add the fields appropriate for your business workflow. Click 'Apply' when done.
You will now have those as columns in your contact view.

Remove Squid's Hubspot Connector

Go to the 'connectors' section within Squid. Click the Hubspot connector.
A dialog box will pop up. Click 'Disconnect'.

Remove Hubspot Integration

This will not remove the Squid app from your Hubspot account. You will need to manually remove the Squid app from Hubspot by going to: Data Management > Integrations > Connected Apps and then under 'Actions' for the Squid app, click 'Uninstall'
