Installing Squid on a Wordpress Website

Installing the Squid Wordpress plugin into your Wordpress environment is done in a few easy steps.

Prerequisites

You have the proper access to install plugins into Wordpress; typically this is some level of admin access.
You are on a current Wordpress version
You've download the Wordpress plugin here

Installation

We will discuss installing the plugin via the Wordpress admin console. If you'd rather install it via cPanel, we assume you are a more advanced user and know how to do this :)

Log into your Wordpress admin console usually located at: https://yourdomain.com/admin
Go to plugins located in the left-hand menu bar or at: /wp-admin/plugins.php
Click 'Add new plugin'
Click 'Upload plugin'
Click 'Choose file'
Choose the Squid Wordpress plugin file (it is a zip - DO NOT unzip the package) and click 'Install Now'
You should see an installation success message similar to this picture.

UI Sections

The Squid UI is divided into 9 functional sections. Let's discuss what each one is for.

1 - Websites

A list of the websites you have access to.

**All **- by clicking 'all' you will see a dashboard of all your owned and shared websites on one screen.

My websites - lists the websites that you are an owner of. These are the ones that you created and will be billed for usage under one of Squid's plans.

Shared websites - lists the websites that you have been invited to. You are not billed for these websites and usage does not count against your own websites.

2 - Product Documentation

This redirects you to the Squid resource center where you can find product documentation, blogs, changelogs, etc.

3 - Squid Plan Information and Credit Usage

This is a real-time indicator of your usage based on your current plan across all the websites you are an owner of.

4 - Ask Squid AI Search Bar
